“They needed to work out on their defence mostly. The team is a good team, it’s based on experience players mostly and we will be depending on that, our experience.”

The side will be fielding 13 players each for the Men’s and Women’s team as they are pooled with Drifters, Rebels and Flames at the competition.

Meanwhile, Rebels have stamped themselves as the team to beat in the 8th Bula FM Marist Volleyball tournament in Suva next weekend.

The Raiwai-based side handed defending champions and hosts, Marist their first loss this season, during the Matsville Snipers tournament in Nadi last month, earning them the favorite’s tag.

Raiwai has been pooled alongside Nadera, USP and X-Club.

Marist is grouped with Army, Clippers and Nadonumai Magics.
32 men’s teams and 16 women’s team will compete in the two-day tournament next Friday and Saturday at the FMF Gymnasium.

The winner’s in the men’s division will collect $4000 while the women’s champions will walk away with $3000.
