The Ratsun Nadi football side defeated CFR Line Suva 1-nil in the Pacific Cup in New Zealand last night.
After the disappointing nil-all draw against Manukau All Stars on Wednesday, Nadi displayed good football against the whites as captain Samuela Drudru scored the winner in the latter stages of the second half.
Both the teams received several opportunities to score but the strikers lacked confidence and could not score any more goals.
In another match, high flying Shop N Save Lautoka were shocked by the Auckland All Stars who defeated the Blues 1-0.
Midfielder Kelvin Naidu received a red card in the match and will miss today’s match against the Fair Trade Rewa side along with defender Samuela Kautoga who has two yellow cards in the tournament.
In other matches played yesterday, defending champions NZFFI All Stars defeated Wellington All Stars 3-nil, while Australian All Stars defeated USA All Stars 2-1.
Pool games continue today and you can catch live commentaries of the NZFFI All Stars-Nadi match at 9pm and Lautoka-Rewa match 10.15pm on Radio Fiji Two with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
