The Nadi Blazers women’s rugby team is confident of a strong outing when they make their first ever appearance in the Central Coast 7s in Australia this month.

Coach, Leilani Burnes says they will be banking on their experienced players to lead the charge against formidable opponents including the Australia and New Zealand national sides.

“We’ve got two players that were in the Fijiana squad previously and we’ve got a lot of our players who are both in the extended squad for both 15’s as well as the 7’s extended squad. So we are taking most of the players across to go and compete.”

The Central Coast 7s will be held on the 23rd to the 25th of this month in Sydney.
