February 5, 2016 9:36 am

The Nadi football side defeated Suva 1-nil in the first leg of the Pillay’s Garment’s Champion versus Champion series at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.

In a match which failed to live up to expectations, it was left to a second half Napolioni Qasevakatini penalty to separate the two sides heading into the second leg.

Referee Deepak Mudliar awarded the penalty to the Jetsetters after he saw a foul inside the Suva penalty box.

Qasevakatini made no mistake and made sure his side has the upper hand going into the second leg.

Nadi now just needs a draw to win their first CVC title while Suva will need a two clear goal win if they want to claim their maiden title.

The second leg will be played at Prince Charles Park in Nadi at 3pm on Sunday.

You can catch the live commentary of the match on Radio Fiji Two with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
