Nadarivatu will make its return to primary school athletics when it competes in the 2014 Western Chow Games at Govind Park next week.

The Navosa-based squad will compete against eight other districts during the two-day competition.

Tournament organizer, Tirani Uluinakauvadra, says he is expecting the team from the highlands to dominate the long distance events.

“For the past years, Nadarivatu hardly make it to this annual event due to financial difficulties and isolation. Now that the event has been shifted closer to them, they have agreed to come this year. They’re the new team apart from the 8 districts that have participated for the past two years.”

Organizers are expecting 1600 athletes to participate in the meet.

The 2014 Western Chow Games will be held at Govind Park in Park next Friday and Saturday.
