April 11, 2015 12:50 am

Former Fiji 15s rep, Isa Nacewa is making a return to rugby, rejoining Irish club Leinster two years after retiring.

The former Auckland and Blues utility back, who won three Heineken Cups with Leinster, has been assisting Blues coach Sir John Kirwan for the Super Rugby side that recorded their first win of the 2015 campaign over the Brumbies at Eden Park last night.

However, it is reported the 32-year-old will return to Leinster as a player with a one-year deal.

Nacewa played 44 games for the Blues from 2005-2008 and then made 126 appearances for Leinster over the next six years.

He turned out for one test for Fiji in 2003, which stopped the Auckland-born back from being selected for the All Blacks.
