Mustafa Fall has set a new national Shot Put record.

Fall broke his own national record of 17.52 meters at the Pacific Games today where he also won gold.

His new record is 17.75 meters and it was a special moment for him as he beat the Pacific Games record holder

Tumatai Dauphin of French Polynesia who managed a distance of 17.40 meters.

Fall says he had to work hard for the gold medal after finishing fourth in the Discuss event.

17.75 meters is also a personal best for Fall.
