Murimurivalu was in great form for La Rochelle

Fiji-born wing Kini Murimurivalu was in great form for his La Rochelle side as they beat Toulon 30-21 yesterday.

La Rochelle came from behind Toulon in the second spell to snatch a win with three tries and two penalty kicks.

Toulon looked confident in the first half of the match scoring the only first half try in the 16th minute of the game to lead La Rochelle 7-3 at the half time mark.

La Rochelle found their strength in the second spell with Kini Murimurivalu breaking through the Toulon’s defense to ground the first try for his club.

Another try from Kerr-Barlow in the 53rd minute extended La Rochelle’s lead to 17-7 over Toulon.

Toulon then added two more tries later in the second spell, but it wasn’t enough as La Rochelle beat them with two successful penalty kick and a try to seal the victory.
