MP Vunivalu praise for Stallions

Member of Parliament Samuela Vunivalu praised the BLK Nadroga rugby side for their success in the HFC Bank Farebrother challenge this season.

The Stallions have managed to retain the prestigious silverware after 6 challenges.

A former national rugby player, who represented Fiji in the 1987 World Cup, Vunivalu delivered his maiden speech in parliament this morning.

“As a true rugby follower and former rugby player and a coach, I wish to congratulate the Nadroga rugby team for defending Farebrother seven times and I, also wish the Vanua all the best. Nakuruvarua for the Kalevu and to produce some great players who will represent Fiji in years to come and they have proven it.”

The Nawaka native later urged the final challengers, Nadi, to play to the best of their ability against Nadroga tomorrow.

“Please play hard rugby tomorrow and show the people of Fiji your true colour that you can also defend the Farebrother Sullivan trophy.”

BLK Nadroga will take on Nadi at 3pm tomorrow at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
