GameChangers Company is out to encourage more women in the country to participate in rugby.

Company Director, Kylie Bates says plans for outreach programs are in place to increase the participation of women in the oval-ball sport.

“Rather than making women come to the rugby field, what we would like to do is take rugby to women are coming together around youth groups or vocation education.”

Bates adds the Telecom Fijiana side has done wonders by qualifying for the Rio Olympic Games, putting the limelight on women’s rugby in the country.

Bates was among a panel of speakers at the recent Oceania Rugby training workshop in Nadi.
