The Island Chill Suva Marathon will feature a bigger number of female runners this year compared to the previous years.
Social runner Lilian Delana, who will be running for the third consecutive year says, women should try and be part of the competition this weekend.
“I’m trying to come in and persuade more girls to get into this marathon club and women in general as well, so I’m getting a group of young girls, a program that I run to be involved in the Suva Marathon next weekend.”
The Suva Marathon has been a male dominant event in the past three years.
The event will be held this Saturday.
