More than 300 players and coaches are expected to turn up for the FIBA Oceania Under-19 Basketball Championships here in December.

Tournament Coordinator, Laisiasa Puamau, says they are ready to host the tournament, which is one of the biggest ever to be hosted by Fiji.

Puamau adds the preparation for the tournament is well underway

“The games will open on the 30th of the November and we will be accommodating teams at the University campus side. I would also like to acknowledge Tourism Fiji will support by providing transportation from Nadi to Suva for international teams arriving at the Nadi International Airport.”

The championship will be held from December 1 to 6 at Vodafone Arena in Suva.
