More support is needed for team: Kean

It’s celebration time for Suva Rugby after successfully retaining this year’s Farebrother Sullivan Challenge trophy yesterday.

Coming from behind, the Capital side stunned everyone, defeating Lautoka 19 – 16.

Suva Rugby chairman Commander Francis Kean says the win has boosted and encouraged more support from its supporters.

”The win is indeed a force multiplier to the Suva Rugby Association. We look forward to the lis lifting the standard of rugby competition in the Suva districts and we urge all supporters to come and be part of the celebration as we celebrate Suvas win.”

He adds it will be a doule celebration as they will also commemorate the centennial celebration for the Escott Shield- Fiji’s longest hockey tournament.

The celebration for the tireless efforts of the team and officials will run throughout this week.
