Mocenacagi to make 7s debut in Dubai

Only one uncapped player has been named in the Vodafone Fiji 7s side for the Dubai 7s, which starts tomorrow.

Yamacia forward, Sevuloni Mocenacagi has been named in the final 12-member squad for the opening leg of the World Sevens Series.

The 25 year old finds himself amongst an experienced forwards line-up such as Pio Tuwai, Jasa Veremalua, Apisai Domolailai, Viliame Mata and utility, Isake Katonibau.

Captain, Osea Kolinisau leads the backline which features Jerry Tuwai, Savenaca Rawaca, Kitione Taliga, Emosi Mulevoro and Vatemo Ravouvou.

Nadroga pair, Alifereti Veitokani and Nemani Nagusa have been left out of the squad.

Fiji will take on Canada in the opening match of the Dubai 7s at 6pm tomorrow.

The national side will face Japan at 9pm before taking on Argentina at 3:28am on Saturday.

Meanwhile the Telecom Fijiana side will face Canada in the Dubai leg of the Women’s World Sevens Series at 9:20pm today.
