Mocenacagi cleared to play in Hamilton

Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive, John O’Connor has confirmed, Fiji Airways mens 7s forward Sevuloni Mocenacagi has been cleared to play.

O’Connor says, they were supposed to send a replacement, but have been advised that Mocenacagi has been cleared to play in the Hamilton 7s this weekend.

The only injury concern currently in the team is Apete Daveta.

“We have been advised by coach that Mocenacagi is fit again. They are checking Apete} Daveta and will advise me by this afternoon if they still want any replacement.”
Meanwhile, questions sent to Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber remains unanswered.

The Fiji 7s has been drawn in Pool A alongside Australia, Wales and Spain in the Hamilton tournament.

Fiji will play Wales in its first pool game at 11.36am on Saturday, and will then take on Spain at 3.02pm before battling Australia at 6.50pm.

The cup quarterfinals starts at 11.36am on Sunday, the semis will be played at 3.49pm while the final kicks off at 7.03pm Sunday.
