Lack of patience and handling errors were the main reason behind the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians 27-19 loss against Tonga at Lautoka’s Churchill Park yesterday.

Coach John McKee says they missed a lot of opportunities due to poor handling errors.

“We’ve made some terrible mistakes in the first half and also in the last minutes of play where we made handling errors which gave opportunities to the Tongans to score.”

Both teams were locked 7-all in the first half.

Fiji’s tries came from Frank Lomani, Vereniki Goneva and Viliame Mata while Tonga’s tries came from Paula Nagauamo, Steve Mafi, Sefo Sakalia and Captain Sonatane Takulua.
