Mistake cannot be repeated: McKee

June 24, 2014 6:55 pm

The Cook Islands rugby side will be looking at every opportunity to cash in on points, if the Vodafone Flying Fijians make the same mistakes from last week.

Those are the words of Fiji coach, John McKee, who says the team needs to up their game from the 18-13 loss to Samoa last Saturday.

McKee says any team in the world will punish the opposition, when they get a chance.

“That’s something we really need to address, we need to play our game and not get sucked into the game the opposition wants us to play. That is important for us and that has been quite a big focus. Also our discipline, we gave away a lot of penalties last week, so we need to be more disciplined around the ruck and tackle area and the offside area to ensure we don’t give away too many penalties on Saturday.”

The winner of the match will be pooled with Australia, England, Wales and a play-off winner.

The game starts at 3pm and you can catch a live commentary on BULA FM.
