Minister of Sports on importance of extra curricular activities

The Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou says events such as the Coca Cola Games help the students to keep up to date with their health.

Speaking in Parliament today, Tuitubou says extracurricular activities such as the Coke Games is important to keep our students healthy.

“Exercise programs improve student well-being, metabolism, health and alertness, which are important in grooving a well-rounded healthy student. This also compliments and supports the Ministry of Health’s initiative such as the wellness of athletes in schools and the use of sports as a tool to combat Non Communicable Diseases.”
