The Fiji men’s hockey side defeated Samoa 11-1 to secure bronze medals at the Oceania Cup in New Zealand.

Leevan Dutta scored four goals in the match to finish the tournament as top scorer with a final tally of 12.

Also finding the score-sheet for his second hat trick of the tournament was Adrian Smith.

In the gold medal play-off, Australia beat New Zealand 3-2.

The result maintains Australia’s dominance of this event since 1999.
