14 year old Menash Fareed is the youngest player to win the FMF National under 20 Chess Championship in Suva.

The Form 3 student of Yat Sen Secondary School won the round-robin matches to score 5 ½ out of 6 yesterday.

William Yee came in second and William Bennion won third place.

Rudr Prasad collected the under 18 grade title.

More than 30 players took part in the championship.

The next tournament in the Fiji Chess Federation calendar will be the Courts Fiji Open on September 14th.
