Herbert Power Stakes winner Yucatan remains a dominant favourite for the Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup despite drawing barrier 23 in the 24-horse field.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained stayer eased slightly after the draw, from $4.20 to $4.50 (TAB), but is still a clear top elect ahead of Godolphin international Cross Counter ($9).
Grant Betting Limited Fiji Operations Manager Vijendra Sundar says out of the 24 filed, three horses are ten dollar odds.
Sundar says local punters can now place their bet on their favourite horse.
“People have been waiting for the final field and it’s finally here where 24 runners confirmed for the 3200 metre race and the favourite is number 11 Yucatan and it’s after a long time short favorite horse in the Melbourne Cup.”
The Melbourne Cup will be held next Tuesday at 5pm and you can watch it live on FBC TV and on FBC Sports.
