McLellan visits World Cup site

Fiji National Rugby League general manager, Steve McLellan is currently in London to inspect the venue for the Rugby World Cup next year.

FNRL operations manager, Rusi Ratakele says McLellan, who left the country on Sunday and will be in London for two weeks.

“The purpose of his official visit was to check the site where the Fiji Bati will be based which is in Boston, England. He will check the facilities in terms of the grounds and also the venue where they will be playing next year.”

Ratakele adds while the Fiji Bati have secured a Test match against Tonga later this year, McLellan will also be holding discussions to secure more matches in Europe.
