McKee wants to take Fijian rugby to the next level

October 20, 2015 12:40 am

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach, John McKee wants to take Fijian rugby to the level where they can challenge the tier one ranked teams on any given day.

McKee says in his remainder tenure with Fiji rugby, he’d love to see his team win matches against the big teams.

“When we go to the big stage, when we go to the November tour or any big country comes down here for tour then we are seen as equals on the field. For example if Fiji plays England then we would not know whose going to win until the final whistle. They won’t have points on the draw because they are a tier one nation. We would have raised our game to that level that we can challenge anyone.”
