McKee says it's important to prepare for Uruguay

Fiji Airways Flying Fijians coach John McKee says their last week’s 54-17 loss against Scotland is a wake-up call for them as they prepare to meet Uruguay in their second autumn test this weekend.

Fiji and Uruguay last met in pool play during the 2015 Rugby World Cup where Fiji came out victors 47-15.

McKee says that last week’s loss was disappointing but they had taken what they could from that game and concentrate on preparations for Uruguay.

“Scotland played a game before we met. They played against Wales and it’s their advantage and they’ve spent more than time compared to us. For us it’s difficult to prepare the boys in a short period of time but it’s important for us to prepare for Uruguay.”

The Flying Fijians face Uruguay at 2am on Sunday in London.
