Vodafone Flying Fijians Coach, John McKee is expecting a crucial match against Tonga in its opening round of the Pacific Nations Cup.

McKee says they will march on the field with a positive mind.

“What cares now is how we prepare for the game next Saturday and our performances and so our focus shifts a bit and it’s like playing cricket where we did well in the first earnings and win the game and you have to do well in the second earning as well."

Captain, Akapusi Qera says the boys are ready for the task at hand.

“Even though most of the boys have missed out, It has been a good week for us as a group and I’m excited by the challenge that’s been laid by Tonga next week.”

Qera adds the Fijian side is wary of Tonga’s style as they will bank on their forwards to crack down the Fijian defence.

The team will depart our shores tomorrow to play Tonga on Saturday in Nukualofa and faces Samoa the following week in Apia.
