McKee names strong line-up against England

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach, John McKee has named a strong line-up to take on England in the Rugby World Cup opening match this weekend.

The front-row features Campese Ma’afu, Sunia Koto and Manasa Saulo with Leone Nakarawa and Apisalome Ratuniyarawa at locks.

The back-row features Dominiko Waqaniburotu, captain Akapusi Qera and Sakiusa Matadigo.

Ben Volavola is a surprise choice at flyhalf ahead of the experienced Josh Matavesi, who is named on the reserves bench.

Volavola will partner Nikola Matawalu in the halves position.

Gabby Lovobalavu and Vereniki Goneva will partner in the midfield with Waisea Nayacalevu and Nemani Nadolo on the wings while Metuisela Talebula has been named at fullback.

A strong reserves bench has also been named with the likes of Tuapati Talemaitoga, Peni Ravai, Isei Colati, Tevita Cavubati, Peceli Yato, Nemia Kenatale, Joshua Matavesi, Asaeli Tikoirotuma.

Fiji will take on England at 7am on Friday and you can watch it live on FBC TV.
