McKee looks forward to second World Cup

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach, John McKee is looking forward to his second appearance in a World Cup.

The Kiwi mentor served as a technical director for the Tongan side, when the World Cup was held in New Zealand in 2011 and says he has gained a lot of knowledge from that experience.

“Having been to a Rugby World Cup, it really helps in the program this time around, such as the planning. The detail and what we will do in our whole build-up. This knowledge is a great advantage to us going forward. But it’s another campaign with a different team so we will be doing things differently. But having been there before is certainly an advantage for our preparations.”

McKee will announce a reduced Flying Fijians squad this afternoon from the 53-players that were named last week.

The national side will host the Maori All Blacks in their first international match this year on July 11th at the ANZ Stadium.
