Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee says he is looking the loose forwards position very closely ahead of naming his final team for the Rugby World Cup.
The likes of skipper Akapusi Qera, Malakai Ravulo, Dominiko Waqaniburotu, Peceli Yato and Netani Talei are the front runners for the backrow.
McKee says he has the best at his disposal to select from.
“That’s an areas where we have a lot of depth and we need to get the right balance there. And we have to be mindful of the Rugby World Cup. We have a short turnaround from England to Australia game. We need some fresh players as we can’t expect the same team to run out against England and Australia. We will look at our selection and make sure we have a good balance across our backrow and a little bit of planning around how we utilize our players in those first two games.”
The 31-member team for the World Cup will be named on Friday night in Suva.
