Vodafone Flying Fijians coach, John McKee is looking forward to how his new-look side will perform in the Pacific Nations Cup clash against Tonga this weekend.

McKee made eight changes to the side that lost 27-26 to the Maori All Blacks last week and says the positional changes were made to ensure the players stay fresh throughout the PNC season.

“We want to give all our players an opportunity as well as the players who are not in the match-day 23 to undergo a hard training cycle. Our big picture is the World Cup and we’ve got to manage our players through the PNC to balance their training loads and game time.”

Replacement, Peceli Yato is the only uncapped player in the squad and is certain to make his international debut this weekend.

The Flying Fijians will face Tonga at 3pm on Saturday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva and a live commentary will air on Bula FM with the voice of rugby, Graham Eden.
