Matson honored for Flying Fijians role

Vodafone Flying Fijians assistant coach Tabai Matson says it’s an honor for him to be involved in the team for the Rugby World Cup.

The former Fiji international, who is the current Crusaders Super Rugby assistant coach, has been roped in by the Flying Fijians for the tournament.

Matson says the team has shown a lot of promise and looks a good unit for the World Cup.

“I think being born here in Nausori hospital not far from here. And my mum is here at the moment. It’s a great honor and as always you doing this for family and the people who have supported you for many years so I am really happy to be here.”

The Flying Fijians team for the World Cup will be named on Friday.
