Suva defeated Rewa 2-1 in their Vodafone Premier League clash in Nausori this afternoon.
Rusiate Matererega was the toast of the Suva side after scoring two goals to cancel out Iosefo Verevou’s first half goal for Rewa.
In the other match today, Nadi beat Nadroga 2-nil at Prince Charles Park with a goal each to Napolioni Qasevakatini and Waisake Tabucava.
Labasa, Ba, Nadi and Suva all have 3 points each on the league standings but the Babasiga Lions lead on a better goal difference, following the 6-0 thrashing of Dreketi.
Meanwhile in round two next week, Suva hosts Dreketi at 7:30pm on Friday at ANZ Stadium.
Lautoka meets Nadi at 3pm on Saturday at Prince Charles Park.
On Sunday, Rewa will host Dreketi at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park while Ba and Nadroga clash at the same time at Govind Park.
