September 27, 2015 1:21 am

One player, who is yet to make a starting appearance for the Vodafone Flying Fijians at the Rugby World Cup, is just trying to help the team move forward.

Josh Matavesi, who plays his rugby in Wales, says while he is disappointed not to have started, the team always comes first.

He adds the kickers have been working hard trying to rectify the errors and this will play a major part against the Welsh.

“We are a little bit disappointed but the good thing about World Cup is that there’s always a game around the corner and we are pretty positive getting into Wales. We watched their game against England quite closely today. It’s a massive job, a lot of pressure. We got to help each other as much as we can. It’s a team sport and we also try and put as much pressure on each other as we can.”

Fiji takes on Wales at 3.45am on Friday.

In other matches played today, South Africa thrashed Samoa 46-6 while Italy edged Canada 23-18.

In a match tonight, Australia plays Uruguay at 11pm.

Tomorrow morning at 1.30am Scotland plays USA while Ireland takes on Romania at 3.45am.

You can watch the entire tournament live on FBC TV and catch live commentaries of Fiji’s matches on Radio Fiji One and Bula FM.
