Nadi football rep, Beniamino Matainaqara has shifted his focus on doing better for the national side at the upcoming Oceania Nations Cup.

The veteran goalkeeper featured as a striker in Nadi’s 1-all draw against Suva in the Pillay’s Garments Champions versus Champions series decider yesterday, with the Jetsetters clinching the title on a 2-1 aggregate.

“I’ve been chosen again to take that position again as the Goal-Keeper. I think so it’s time for me to go back under those goal mouths, I’ll leave striker and give something back to the fans of Nadi.”

Matainaqara adds the CVC win is a good start for the season.

Meanwhile, the national football players march into camp today to prepare for the Oeania Nations Cup in May.
