May 24, 2012 5:00 am

The Marist volleyball club has accepted the decision by Fosters Group Pacific Limited to withdraw their tournament sponsorship.

Club secretary, Jone Kaloniviti says despite the loss, they are grateful to Fosters Group for their support over the last 3 years.

Fosters earlier announced their withdrawal as tournament sponsors following the on-court scuffle which brought a premature end to the FBC TV volleyball tournament earlier this month.

Kalouniviti adds the Marist tournament will continue as scheduled, from the 7th to the 9th of June at the National Gymnasium in Suva.

There will be 24 teams competing in the men’s and 10 teams in the women’s division.

Winners can look to take lucrative prizes with $3,000 in the men’s division and $1,500 up for grabs in the women’s.
