Former national 15’s and 7’s rep, Semisi Naevo says the Flying Fijians have a great chance of winning their match against Wales next week.

Nick-named the ‘Man Mountain’ during his playing days, Naevo commended the gallant effort shown by the team during the contest against the Wallabies.

Naevo says despite the loss, the players displayed an excellent team effort that managed to stop the Australians from scoring a bonus point.

He adds the forwards took control of the scrums, a major downfall for Fiji in previous years.

However, Naevo says the players were slow in their support play and conceded too many penalties.

The Nawaka native also applauded the coaching staff for putting together a team of talented players.

The 39 year-old was part of the historic Fiji side which reached the quarterfinals in the 2007 World Cup, losing to eventual winners, South Africa 37-20.
