Vodafone Fiji football coach Christophe Gamel has dropped Labasa’s Amani Makoe from his squad preparing for upcoming two international friendlies.

Gamel has confirmed that Makoe turned up to camp two days late, without any valid reason, and as stated earlier, the national coach will not tolerate this.

Makoe captained the national team in a couple of matches during the FIFA World Cup Stage Three qualifiers earlier this month.

Gamel says he is in the process of getting a suitable replacement into camp.

The national side plays Kyrgyzstan in Malaysia on the 10th of next month before hosting Estonia on nine days later at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
