78 teams have registered for the Macuata Christian Mission Fellowship International 7’s in Labasa this week.

Tournament co-ordinator Esava Takirua is promising this year’s 7’s tournament to be bigger and better.

“The main competition has been divided into tiers where top teams will compete in tier one and small teams will compete in tier two. 26 teams will compete in tier one, eight teams for women’s grade and 12 teams for the under-19 competitions."

Defending champions Wardens Gold, First Landing, Tabadamu, Ratu Filise, Cross of Victory, First Light Inn, are top teams that will compete in the tournament.

The 7’s tournament kicks off on Thursday.
