Fiji Airways Flying Fijians half-back Frank Lomani is expected to add firepower in the national Under-23 side during the World Rugby Pacific Rugby Challenge Cup next month.

The 21-year-old was one of the regular players for Fijian Drua and the national team last season.

Lomani says despite playing for the Fiji 15’s, he hopes to learn more in the Pacific Challenge.

“It’s a learning experience for us getting to know some of the nee players and being in camp for the Drua and the Fiji Warriors I know I’ve learnt a lot and I’ll keep on learning some new things.”

World Rugby has implemented a new selection formula for the teams part of the Pacific Challenge.

Only five over aged players are allowed to be part of each side this year.

Fiji plays Samoa A, Junior Japan and then Tonga A in Suva next month.
