Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors’ Captain Frank Lomani says participating in the World Rugby Pacific Combine Programme last year, has helped sharpen his rugby skills.

Lomani is one of the 26 players selected for the programme from the three Pacific Island teams that participated in the World Rugby Pacific Challenge this year.

World Rugby high-performance General Manager Peter Horne says Lomani is one of the outstanding and successful players who benefited from the program.

“He was part of the historic win over France and he was selected for the Barbarians team to play Argentina in November so Frank has achieved an extreme level in a short amount of time and that’s what we want. We want to accelerate the development of players so that they can achieve their goals.”

Meanwhile, 14 Fijian players are part of the Pacific Combine Programme this year.
