May 21, 2014 12:47 am

Six local surfers one of which is Fiji Surfing Association President Isei Tokovou will be trialing today at Tavarua’a Cloudbreak for the upcoming ASP Tour Fiji Pro event in June.

Tokovou who was Fiji’s first wildcard at the 2012 Volcom Fiji Pro event says he, like his fellow surfers are excited about competing against each other.

“We’re supposed to have our trials a couple of weeks ago but we didn’t have any luck with the waves so we are finally going to do it today and we will know who the wildcard will be. There will be Aca Ravulo who competed last year, myself, Paul Chong Sue from Kulukulu, Inia and Maika – there are only about six of us who will compete for that wildcard.”
