Cricket Fiji Chief Executive Setoki Galuvakadua says local players will now have the opportunity to progress through the sport.

“An agreement we had with the club is that players that are contracted by them can be released to represent Fiji if needed and with the performance shown by Seru, the club wants to recruit more local players.”

Meanwhile, Cricket Fiji was given the green light by the International Cricket Council to host ICC World Cup T20 Qualifier.

The event is scheduled to be held at the Albert Park in Suva from the 25th-30th of August.
