Vodafone Fiji Futsal coach, Intiaz Khan commended his players for withstanding the pressure during the OFC Futsal Championship in Suva this week.
The national side ended its campaign yesterday with a 5-nil drubbing at the hands of the Solomon Islands.
Khan says with the majority of his players taking part in futsal for the first time, they will come away better players.
“For me and the players, we have learn a lot. We have proved yesterday against New Zealand and against Solomon Islands that we are learning. Give us time, all the critics helps us. People says things about us and it helps us; it is a motivating factor us so we thank them.”
In other results on the final day of the OFC Futsal Championship yesterday, Tahiti beat Vanuatu 5-2 and New Zealand beat New Caledonia 4-1.
Solomon Islands hoisted the title for the fifth time and qualify for the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia in September.
