Leawere names final squad for Oceania Championship

Vodafone Fiji Under-20 Coach has named his final 30 member squad for the Oceania Championship.

The championship will be held in Gold Coast, Australia later this month.

Kele Leawere has put in an experienced squad consisting of nine players who won the World Rugby Pacific Challenge Cup with the Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors last month.

These players include skipper and hooker Tevita Ikanivere, Livai Natave, Jovesa Nasaroa, Taniela Ramasibana, Alivereti Loaloa, Simione Kuruvole, Caleb Muntz, Veresa Tuqovu, Osea Waqa

Leawere says after nine weeks of training and playing against the top provincial clubs like Suva, Namosi and Nadroga it was then possible to select this bunch of talented players.

Fiji plays New Zealand in its first game at 7pm on the 26th of April then faces Australia four days after.

They take on Japan in their final match at 7pm on the 4th of May.
