Matererega responded with another score to double Nadi’s advantage in the 59th minute.

Suva’s Tevita Waranivalu followed suit to level the score line 2-all in the 73rd minute of play.

Nadi didn’t want to settle for a draw forcing Matarerega to score the winning goal in the 78th minute of play to book a place in the semifinal.

Matererega says it was through God that helped him scored goals.

“I thank the Almighty because he’s the pillar of my strength. It feels good to score because the team needed me in this kind of situation so we have to score goal and qualify to the semis.”

Rewa is now playing Labasa in the last pool match.

Meanwhile the semi-finalists are Labasa, Rewa, Nadi and Lautoka.
