Rusiate Matererenga scored for Nadi in the 35th minute of the first half after a blunder by Lautoka goalkeeper Beniamino Mateinaqara.

Coach Kamal Swamy says it was the team effort that gave them the victory.

“They were rushing a lot in the first half and they need to keep possession which worked for us. The boys believed in themselves and that is how we got the victory.”

The second semifinal will see Labasa against host Suva at 7pm.

In the senior division final, defending champions Nadroga takes on Navua at 12pm.
