July 16, 2018 12:30 am

The Lautoka football side hopes carry its Vodafone Premier League performance into the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants this weekend.

The side remains unbeaten in the VPL and are looking forward to winning its first major title this season.
Lautoka coach Kamal Swamy says the players will recover and then prepare for the tournament from tomorrow.

“For sure Sunday is gone. Monday is a recovery and then Tuesday Wednesday is the training Thursday you have to put down the training then come back on Friday to play it’s a lot of work for the players and I think for Lautoka it will be very tough because they have played a lot of games more than what the other districts have played so it will be a tough battle for us.”

BOG begins on Friday at Churchill Park with Suva playing Rewa at 1.30, Nadi faces Dreketi at 3.30pm, Lautoka battles Tavua at 6pm and Ba takes on Labasa at 8pm.
