Lautoka defends VPL title

The Lautoka football side will defend the 2018 Vodafone Premier League title.

This after second place Ba was held one-all by Dreketi this afternoon.

Ba has 23 points and if they do beat Labasa tomorrow they will finish the league wirth 26 points which means Lautoka tops this year’s VPL season with 28 points.

The interesting match tomorrow will be between Tavua and Dreketi which will decide which team gets relegated and which stays in the Top Division.

Tavua, after holding Labasa nil-all today, has nine points and needs only a draw against Dreketi tomorrow.

The Dreketi side will go for a must win tomorrow as they only have seven points in the bag.

Lautoka have 28 points after 13 matches and will play Rewa at home tomorrow at 3pm.

In the matches tomorrow, starting at 3pm, Tavua faces Dreketi at Garvey Park, Labasa meets Ba at Fiji FA Academy ground, Lautoka plays Rewa at Churchill Park and Nadi hosts Suva at Prince Charles Park.
