The Lami football side thumped a star studded Suva team 5-2 in a friendly match in the build up to the Courts Inter District Championship at Fiji FA Academy ground.

Suva which had the services of players like goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau, Remueru Takiate, Ravinesh Karan Singh and imports Laisenia Raura plus Meli Codro failed to put to up an impressive show today.

Lami’s Taniela Rakariva, France Catarogo, Asis Chand and Kalisito Vaikoba played a vital role as they claimed an inspiring win over the capital city.

While Lami is on track to win the Senior Division in IDC, Suva needs to do a lot of soul searching ahead of the tournament.

FBC Sports approached Suva coach Gurjit Singh for an interview but he declined to comment.
