Lami Steelers U18 to defy odds

First timers to the Fiji National Rugby League Tangitupou Challenge, the Lami steelers U18 will make their presence felt in this year’s challenge.

They will be a strong force to reckon with and the boys believe they are trained an guided by one of the best.

Former Fiji Bati and 2012 FNRL coach of the year Viliame Tukana says he is confident of his teams outcome and are never to be taken lightly.

“Dont under estimate the Lami steelers because we also want to win. We’re not going to under estimate any team and as far as we’re concerned, we’re looking forward to give a good game so we can reach the finals and possibly take the Tangitupou trophy.”

The Tangitupou Challenge will be played at Buckhurst and Bidesi Park on the 20th of september and will feature five local teams and a visiting NZ-Fiji Rugby League U17 side.
