Lami aims high ahead of IDC

The Lami football side is on track to win the Senior Division title at the Courts Inter District Championship which kicks off on Friday at ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Lami President, Deepak Chand, says the players have been committed towards the training and they’re focusing on nothing less than qualifying to the semi-finals.

“All teams have been preparing well for IDC and we will not take any teams lightly. We will take each match at a time and as much as we want to we like to qualify for the semi-finals.”

Lami is pooled with Savusavu, Rakiraki and Tailevu Naitasiri.

They face Savusavu in its first pool match at 11.30am on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Premier Division also starts on Friday where Rewa plays Tavua at 1.30pm, Labasa faces Nasinu at 3.30pm, Suva meets Nadi at 6pm and Lautoka will battle Ba in the last match of day one at 8pm.
